Aloo said the 163 kilometre rally will have three sections and drivers will repeat the track three times before a winner is determined.
The event in Moshi will be the season’s opener and counts towards national championship points.
Aloo who is also the Kilimanjaro Motor Sports club’s vice chairman said registration for competitors will e opened on March 1st and all competent rally drivers are urged to feature in the event.
The rally in Moshi has become the first for the unfolding season after Tanga Motor Club cancelled their slot to disrupt the Automobile Association of Tanzania’s calendar that had initially eight events for the year.
The AAT had lined up a total of eight rallies to be staged across the Mainland Tanzania and the cancellation of Tanga event has reduced the number to seven.
Aloo said the club expects to register huge number of entries as the event is opening the season.
“Every driver will be interested not to lose the rally so as to earn points for title charge”, said Aloo. Not to be missed in the event include ambitious Mohamed Salim ‘Digalla’ and many others.
