The TFF boss noted on the opening day the federation has picked several former footballers to attend the training due to their potential in the soccer fraternity.
The coaching course has brought together 25 trainees including foreigners from Rwanda and Kenya. It is fully funded by TFF and held at Mnyanjani Technical Sporting center.
Former Tanzanian footballers attending the course are Azam FC assistant coaches Kalimangonga 'Kally' Ongala and Aggrey Morris, Nizar Khalfan, Abdi Kassim 'Babi', and Mussa Hassan 'Mgosi' now coaching Simba Queens.
Karia pointed out that TFF targets to make former players that are recently serving as assistant coaches attend the training to equip them with coaching skills.
The former players' participation in the course, the TFF official noted, will moreover stimulate competition as well as improve their competence in spotting and grooming young players.
He further stated that the coaches will help the country's national teams to competently battle it out in international tournaments.
Immediately after completion of the course, the coaches will be qualified to attend the CAF license A coaching course.
The tacticians will also have qualifications of serving as assistant coaches at various football teams that participate in the Premier League.
Karia said there is still the challenge of the absence of qualified coaches in Tanzania, a situation which contributes to the coaches' failure to coach outfits outside the country.
"TFF focuses on solving challenges facing tacticians together with providing various short and long-term coaching courses aimed at enabling our tacticians to competently work in the country and international soccer tournaments."
