Pazi and Maugo will fight for the WBF’s African Super middleweight title bout scheduled for ten rounds. The day will also see Mohamed Matumla and Ibrahim Class contest for the light-weight non-title bout scheduled for eight rounds.
Juma Ndambile, one of the organisers said the two boxers have already signed contract ahead of the bout.
Ndambile said all boxers are in shape ahead of the bout.
“The title was under Thomas Mashali who won after outpointing Mada Maugo at the Diamond Jubilee, on August 30, 2013, but Mashali lost the belt on November 16, 2013 to Arif Magomedov, this is chance for boxers to win African honor,” said Ndambile.
Pazi said he want to continue with his winning note after best results in the recently fight held in Shanghai, against Andrey Kalyuzhnyy. Pazi won on technical third round knockout (TKO).
“Maugo is experienced professional boxer, I respect him in the game, but at the moment, I want to win African honor although he is very experienced,” said Pazi.
Maugo said he is ready for the fight and would like to underline his prowess in the fight. “This is my golden chance to win the title, I lost against Mashali and this is second chance for me,” said Maugo.
The bout coordinator, Jay Msangi said preparations are complete and referees will arrive in the country four days before.
