The home side will miss two key players in the game billed to be tough. Defender Shomari Kapombe is in South Africa for treatment and midfielder Salum Abubakar ‘Sure Boy’ is in Dar es Salaam nursing an injury sustained in their Mainland Premier League match against Ndanda FC.
Head coach Stewart Hall said the absence of the duo will not intensely affect his side as they have prepared well to face Esperance, a much experienced side.
He said Kapombe will be replaced by Waziri Salum and Ramadhani Singano will stand in for ‘Sure Boy.’
Azam FC are placed second in the premier league with 52 points. Esperance are also in second place in the Tunisian premier league with 51 points.
The Chamazi-based side eliminated Bidvest Wits of South Africa with a 7-3 aggregate while Esperance reached this stage after hammering Renaissance of Chad by a 7-0 aggregate.
