Diamond Platnumz Manager, Hamisi Shaban Taletale aka Babu Tale has been elected Member of Parliament for Morogoro Rural in the South East constituency.
Babu Tale ran unopposed because there was no opposition candidate running for the constituency. He emerged winner for to run for the seat after defeating the former CCM MP Omary Mgumbe who is the Deputy Minister for Agriculture by 76 votes during the CCM Primaries.
The grieving widower took to twitter where he revealed the journey to parliament actually begun with his late wife Shamsa Tale.
“I have clinched the ticket and as the MP elect…My wife, I’ll remember you. I’ll hold dear what we agreed to deliver for our people…I love you.”
Similarly, Popular Bongo Flavour star Hamis Mwinjuma alias Mwana Fa declared the new Muheza constituency legislator after he bagged 47 578 votes.
Running under the ruling party CCM, Mwan Fa battled out his opponent Yosepher Komba from opposition party Chadema who got 12,034 votes.
Rapper and close friend AY tweeted his congratulations saying “Its Honourable Hamisi Mwinjuma, Mwana Fa on the one two, one two. Congratulations, finally your long time dream to serve the people of Muheza has been achieved. All the best my ‘son’ I believe in your will and plans for development , God is good, now let the work commence.”
