The call was made by National Housing Corporation (NHC) Director General Nehemiah Mchechu in Dare s salaam yesterday at the official launch of the 19th edition of Building Expo Africa.

The NHC chief said the exhibition provided a platform for local companies to create market opportunities to sell and buy products
.
Mchechu explained that the government would continue to support such exhibitions in order to develop the sector and build up a sustainable economy.

Exhibition Manager (Africa) Nevile Trindage explained that the 19th edition of the exposition was set to bring the latest products, equipment and machinery to the East African market.

“The expo aims at a globally acclaimed building and construction show with focus on machinery, technology and latest equipment in the industry being held at Mlimani City,” he said.

The exhibition manager added that the event covered myriad sectors of the construction industry ranging from building and construction materials, aluminum steel profiles, granite ceramics, pipe fittings, mining, tools and hardware.

He further explained that the exhibition offered an ideal launch pad for new ideas, products and services, a conducive environment for forging joint ventures and collaborations and an open marketplace to source ideal solutions.

It also provides a platform for highly evolved global manufacturers and exporters from all over the world to enter into the market of the millennium in East Africa.

“Through a committed endeavor and a no-comprise attitude to service, the company has brought that vision to reality.” Trindage stressed.

The expo has this year attracted 160 companies and industries from more than 30 countries around the world.

Building Expo is the interactive arm of Expogroup Worldwide’s activities and the event offers an appropriate platform for outsourcing collaborations, explore new business avenues, enhance current business, look for beneficial tie-ups and create opportunities for business visitors to interact with international exhibitors.
