Chairpersons of local governments of Mafisa kwa Mambi and Mjimwema in Tungi ward Morogoro municipal have implemented an anti narcotics operation which resulted in the destruction of a house and marijuana planted on a farm growing maize and pumpkins.

The government has started the construction process of infrastructure to transport 400 kilovolts of power from the gas power distribution station at Kinyerezi in Dar es Salaam to Tanga in order to meet production operations of international investors which include construction of an oil pipe line and the biggest cement plant in Africa in Tanga.
