Wobbly JKT Ruvu can dodge relegation

BOTTOM-placed JKT Ruvu soccer team still has an opportunity to raise to the safe horizon of the standings depending on how coach Abdallah Kibaden will shape up the team in the remaining ten rounds.

Ruvu with 15 points, same as Tanga-based archrivals of African Sports and Coastal Union, have narrow two-point cushion to beat and leapfrog into the safety barriers.

The army team has competent coach in Kibaden but has so far managed to post three wins and drew six matches after twenty rounds of play.

Of the three tams submerged into relegation pool, the army side has displayed potentiality in scoring but weakness at the rear.

Conceding 35 goals is too much for a premiership side and coach Kibaden has a task of shaping up his defence if survival is a top priority for the team.

Three teams above the relegation borderline, namely Kagera Sugar, Mgambo and Majimaji have created two, three and four points cushion above the relegation borderline.

The difference in points means the fight to safe horizon might be very volatile and possibly unpredictable. A win or loss will have a drastic change in the standings.

Premiership survival is the only option for the teams taking into consideration that the gap towards the top is too wide to cover up. With ten rounds to play, African Sports, Coastal Union and JKT Ruvu have a ceiling of attaining 45 points which have already been surpassed by Yanga.
