Nabi was involved in the process of searching for Taifa Stars' head coach conducted by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).
The coach, a Belgian national of Tunisian origin, said that he has seen and heard information on media associating him with securing Taifa Stars' head coach post but he is dedicated to his job at Yanga.
The tactician that had, in the past, coached Sudan football big guns Al Hilal and Al Merreikh, stated that he will continue to work for Yanga according to the existing contract.
The gaffer was adamant that his strategies to ensure his outfit defends the 2022/23 NBC Premier League trophy have aligned with the ones set by the outfit's leadership.
The tactician noted: "I still have a fresh contract with Yanga which has a lot to be achieved, as we are halfway through the season my focus is with Yanga, I have seen the news but my family was equally shocked when it saw it."
"With all due respect, though, I should thank all those who think of me about that opportunity to take Tanzania's senior national team job," Nabi revealed.
He pointed out: "I still have a contract with Yanga and I am dedicatedly telling the outfit's fans that I am here in Tanzania for the time being and will only coach their team until I make another decision."
"I don't mean that coaching Tanzania is bad for me, no, but I always have the plan to finish what I have started," Nabi added.
"I could think of something new if the leadership tells me that my employment here (at Yanga) has come to an end," the gaffer disclosed.
The TFF is urgently looking for a successor to Danish coach Kim Poulsen, a move that has generated reports of Nabi being linked to the position.
Tanzania will play two games this month, seeing to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals which will be held in Ivory Coast in January and February next year.
The pressure is currently great on Tanzania's fans due to Taifa Stars not having a head coach made public.
In Group F of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals, Tanzania lost 2-0 to Algeria at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on June 8 last year.
The Tanzania side had earlier settled for a 1-1 draw with Niger at Stade de l'Amitié in Cotonou, Benin on June 4 last year.
Taifa Stars need back-to-back wins against Uganda to keep their qualification hopes alive.
