Mwadui, coached by Jamhuri Kihwelo has so far stayed fifth in the standings table with 32 points to shrug off relegation fears.
The team has won nine, drew five and lost the rest in their twenty rounds played. Premiership title will be a bonus for the team should it attempt to pursue. So far their coach and fans have huge peace of mind as they are not worried of any relegation threats unless performance of other teams below them will be exhilarating.
To stay fifth in the standings table yet in the maiden season is something to be proud of for the Shnyanga side. May be the rivalry with another top flight side in the region, Stand United might be the reason for Mwadui to intensify performance level. Mwadui have opened two-point gap over Stand United and are 14 points adrift of holders Yanga.
Mwadui gained promotion into the premiership berth with African Sports of Tanga, Mwanza’s Toto Africa and Majimaji of Songea.
