Aisha, who also features for the senior national women’s team ‘Twiga Stars’, scored in the 55th and 75th minutes for her Swedish club to ensure a comfortable home outing for the league leaders.
With one game to go, BK Häcken are top of the table and victory in their last game of the season next week will see them secure their second Swedish Women’s Premier League title ahead of Hammarby.
Speaking to BK Häcken's website after the game, Aisha said she was delighted to score a brace in her first league start for the club this season.
Aisha disclosed: “Of course, it feels incredibly good to be able to score the first goal in the OBOS Damallsvenskan- it is something that will be special for all players.”
The attacker said: “Every time I step onto the field, I do everything I can to score goals and help the team. Today I got to celebrate two fantastic goals.”
She added the big victory means not only a victory but also a boost in self-confidence, which can be decisive in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers return leg match against FC Twente on Wednesday.
She noted: “It means a lot for the team to be able to score so many goals. It creates the confidence that we need before the return match in the Netherlands.”
“We feel one hundred percent ready for the return match that awaits next week where we have every opportunity to progress,” Aisha revealed.
The first leg which took place in Sweden ended in a 2-2 draw. The aggregate winner of the tie will be heading into the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage, with BK Häcken hoping to return to the showpiece after missing last year’s campaign.
If BK Häcken edges out FC Twente, Aisha would go on the record book as the first female Tanzanian footballer to qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.
The 19-year-old's scoring form is also welcome news for Twiga Stars, especially ahead of next month’s crucial last-round qualifiers for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) duel pitting the side against Togo.
