The show, which took place in Morogoro, brought together three dance music bands seeking to bring back the enthusiasm in domestic dance music.
Waluguru Original Music Band's Director, Deogratius David, revealed his troupe has, since the show took place, got plenty of invitations to stage shows in several parts of the region.
He disclosed: "We fully exploited the show, which had targetted to see to it that local dance music regain its lost glory, by entertaining the genre's followers.''
''A lot of the genre's followers are as of late attending our events.''
The vocalist said much as the event had brought together three troupes, namely Bogos Musica from Dar es Salaam, Dodoma's Sky Melody, and other troupes, he is confident the concert has helped his troupe get more followers.
He disclosed: "We made good use o the show, seeing to it that dance music followers appreciate ours is a good troupe and this music genre is still attractive, much as it is not enjoying much backing as was the case in the past.''
David moreover pointed out Waluguru Original Music Band is looking into staging shows in several other parts, which include Dar es Salaam.
According to the artist, they will seek to host a bonanza, which will be held every Sunday in the city.
David noted his troupe is now enjoying fame with a new album, titled 'Kikao cha Wahenga'.
The 'Kikao cha Wahenga' has six tracks, 'Morogoro Yetu', 'Mwanzo wa Mapenzi', 'Cha Kupewa', 'Ngalile Mwanangu Ndole', 'Supu' and 'Nataka Nilewe'.
The vocalist pointed out the 'Morogoro Yetu' song issues attractions that are found in Morogoro, which include captivating hills.
The singer was adamant the 'Kikao cha Wahenga' is part of his band's efforts to see to it that dance music crawls back to popularity.
