The concert is expected to take place in Morogoro on May 29, with Dar es Salaam's Bogos Musica, Dodoma's Sky Melody, and Morogoro's Waluguru Original featuring in it.
Waluguru Original troupe's director, Deogratius David, stated the event's preparations are moving smoothly.
He stated: "Honestly, this music genre has experienced a drop in popularity, there is a need for musicians to restore its popularity.''
He disclosed: ''We have for that matter organized this event as part of the plan.''
David added the event will usher in the implementation of the plan to restore the music genre's popularity if it will take place successfully.
He noted: "We expect to see various music stakeholders from in and outside Morogoro to attend the event, they will meet to hold discussions, set up plans which will facilitate the initiative.''
Waluguru Original has recently brought in new dancers at a time the troupe is closing in on preparing the troupe's new songs' videos.
David mentioned the new dancers as Happy Gadau and Regina Filbert, noting they were previously in various troupes in Dar es Salaam.
He disclosed: "We have felt we ought to have new dancers when we are preparing some of our songs' videos, the new members will also be in the videos.''
The musician stated he and the rest of Waluguru Original musicians have done their best to boost enthusiasm in Morogoro.
David noted the troupe opted to join forces with fellow troupes to facilitate the initiative in the rest of the regions.
The musicians pointed out Waluguru Original has a new album, 'Kikao cha Wahenga', made up of songs, 'Morogoro Yetu', 'Mwanzo wa Mapenzi', 'Cha Kupewa', 'Ngalile Mwanangu Ndole', 'Supu' and 'Nataka Nilewe'.
