LEADING businesses have been asked to focus on quick transformation and improving productivity to succeed in business at the pace in which the world is moving.

Raha Liquid Telecom Chief Executive Officer (CEO)   Aashiq Shariff said this in Dar es Salaam mid week when closing the 4th Azure Accelerator Conference aimed at improving and accelerating the use of cloud services across Africa.

Azure Accelerator is a customer-focused event that provides clients with a Cloud learning platform and the opportunity to engage one-on-one with Raha Liquid Telecom and Microsoft cloud experts.

The CEO said that in order to thrive and succeed in today’s fast moving and ever-changing economy, business must adopt a transformational mindset because every business wants to be productive, increase efficiencies and make data driven decisions.

 “We need to focus on quick transformation because right now technology has increased and impact the way we do things,” he said.

To sustain businesses, people need to adopt new processes, automation and new technology as digital transformation will allow business operators to improve productivity, efficiency and better collaboration and save costs, he told the gathering.

The conference was attended by various experts in the field of business and IT operators, insurance companies and banks from across the city and elsewhere.

At the event, Raha Liquid Telecom introduced Azure and Azure Stack to the Tanzania market which takes up topics like digital transformation, cloud readiness, cyber security and how to manage cloud IT resources.

Right now the company is working in partnership with Microsoft to provide cloud services dubbed Microsoft Azure to allow customers store data, manage data on the cloud platform, which enables them to reduce costs while benefiting from Microsoft World Class data security features, he specified.

Tanzanian companies, government departments and agencies, banking institutions and insurance companies need to shift to the use of this technology, he said.
