The award, handed over by President John Magufuli on Tuesday, was received by company Human Resources Manager, William Bongo at a colorful ceremony held in Dar es Salaam.
Recently, the company also was awarded the best employer of the year 2015/2016 by the Tanzania Union of Industries and Commercial Workers (TUICO).
Speaking after receiving the award, Bongo expressed delight for the triumph adding that the management of KIOO Ltd was committed to hard work for the benefit of Tanzanians.
He said mutual understanding between the company and employees, who are about 551, is among the criteria that made them successful.
“This award has given us impetus by knowing that society recognizes our contribution and we promise to sustain the work spirit of maintaining good relationship with our employees,” said Bongo.
He also promised that KIOO Ltd will emerge the overall winner in next year’s awards.
Speaking on employment procedures, he said they have a database for those who apply for work but are not successful, noting that they are given priority in the event of an opening.
“For example someone may apply for job today but fails to secure the same, as we go along that individual would be considered for an interview when there is another opening so long as she or he qualifies,” he said.
Speaking about the company’s corporate social responsibility, Bongo said they work hand in hand with Temeke Municipality and other stakeholders whenever the need arises and promised to continue working together in development activities in the district.
